Recently I bought a book by typographer/artist Job Wouters, otherwise known as Letman, and may I just say it is the best thing I have bought in a while. His work is definitely a feast for the eyes. What I like about his work is the varying styles throughout it. As I excitedly turn each page I am pleasantly surprised by what comes next rather than already knowing what to expect.
Wouters, who studied typography and graphic design in Amsterdam, creates decorative letters and typefaces that are a hybrid of graphic design, graffiti, illustration and painting which I think makes for a wonderfully interesting engaging concoction. I love the different applications he does from walls to fashion and everything in between.
Definitely setting the bar high.
